The Da Vinci Code is almost as big a load as the Bible, only with slightly longer chapters...lol.
That said, historically speaking, Jesus could never have been a rabbi without being married. That's a plain fact. Also, since the theology is that he took a body of flesh in order to undergo the human experience in all its aspects, that experience could hardly have been complete without his experiencing sexuality.
The Mary Magdalene tradition, incidentally, is practically as old as Christianity itself.

No, he didn't. The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction, not an authoritative historical documentation. Of course he will put his stories "evidence" together to be convincing. All good writers of mystery stories do that. Yes Priory of Sion is real, but the names are all that are common between this book and real history. I suggest that you do more researching.

If by strong evidence you mean totally biased revisionist history, then yes. Jesus did not have time for a wife and kids. If he did he would have had to stay home with them, and would not have been able to attend is flock nearly as much as He needed to. That idea is also expressed several times in the bible.
Also, as Jesus knew He was going to die the way He would, why would he want to put a wife and kids through that? Losing their their father/husband, in such a brutal public display? And given when he met Mary Magdelene, it was only a couple years before his death. Not a good deal for her either.
The idea of Jesus and Mary Magdelene was created to sell books, make TV specials, and even promote feminist theology. And let's face it, if Jesus was married don't you think that would have been important enough to mention in the bible?
From a deeper Theological perspective it wouldn't make sense for Jesus to get married on earth. Jesus is God. And God is a perfect union. A family if you will. God made us in his image, as male and female, so that we could join together and become one (like God), forshadowing the perfect union with God in heaven. Priests today do not mary because they are "skipping" this earthly union, to devote their lives to God, and begin their union with Him here on earth. How much more would this have been true with Jesus, who was already divine! He would have been the last person who would have needed union with another human. His union with God was perfect already!

Well the Di Vinci code was written as fiction. I don't think I would be using it as a source.
Read Holy Blood, Holy Grail. At least it was written as non-fiction. But my answer is what the heck does it matter? The case is entirely circumstantial, and the only real reason to think that is that is what would have been normal so you would think it would have been a big deal only if he wasn't. Since the Bible doesn't say......

Ignore the Da vinci code.It just was a novel not based on facts and a big moneymaker for Dan Brown. There is absolutely no evidence that Jesus was married and had children.

I don't know and know of no proof one way or the other. BUT Jesus was a man and I doubt that he was celibate, so it's quite likely that he had children and possibly a wife. Sure why not?

Yes. There is good evidence (The Lost Books of the Bible) that Jesus was married and had children.
Ask yourself this question: Was Jesus a good Jew?
If the answer is yes, then you know that a good Jewish man got married and had children.
If your answer is no, then how on earth can you respect the man as a proper authority?

No.There is no evidence at all.None.Dan Brown is not spouting anything new. That heresy is over a thousand years old. When you read "facts" in a book they need to be verified through research. His claims are all false.
