Perhaps there is apart of your being which is beyond space and time, and you coming to know this Being of Light, this Being of True and pure Intellect and substance will provide you the capacity to know God, to realize God, the One (the Mind of God or indwelling Logos) as God is. Time is only a dimension of mind and there is nothing but Mind.

Divinity can only know Divinity, you want to know God, you must first Know thy self, since as mentioned there is apart of you which is not of this world, not of the universe, and never has been, but has been since the beginning. The Before, the After, the Will BE. In fact you are not even known until you know Thy Self, because "you" are the little self which must join with the greater self, that Authentic Nature which is that Being of Pure Light.

To emphasize this point words from the Thomas Gospel, 3. Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

Pay close attention to that ending, "When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty." - That is your answer.

- Shalom.

Yes God is beyond time & He is not beyond space as his very nature is soonya i.e nothing. When i say he is space itself, all will have the question how it is possible.

With the mind which disintegerates eveything it is difficult to understand. It wants God in a human form which means the mind is bringing limitations to God.

Just as he is very near ,yet far, his quality is small as well as boundless.

If one wants to see him in a human form then one should picturise the image of God so that his soul transforms into that image by constantly thinking of him.The soul can take any shape & form. This is how sage Ramakrishna Paramahamsar saw kali's image. It is the reflection of his own image or soul.

Another way to realize him is through meditation. The mind can be minimised to a pin point [very very small] through deep concentration & it can be maximised, as in the computer where the mind gets expanded in the Thuriateeth meditation.

Here what happens is the mind merges with infinite space & his soul which is millons of energy particles, merges with the universal or cosmic energy.

There is no self.He becomes the pure conscious[space] & the universe. This also was experienced by Ramakrishna paramahamsar where he goes into samadhi state of mind & he falls down as his body did not bear the power of it, thats why those who are in the spiritual path should keep the body in a good condition by doing asanas.

You are beyond time and space as well. God is where you are. You are always now and always here. There is no past, future or other places in that. You are never anywhere else. Conscious awareness does not age and that is the closest thing to who you are that language can describe. Yes, your body is in time and space but you aren't nor have you ever been. We are all just so focused on time and space we don't even realize where we are.

One can realise God by realizing your own TRUE SELF. Your real self is a part of God and is as immortal as God beyond the concepts of time and space. The concepts of time and space come into force once you have taken a physical human form but your pure consciousness (soul) continues to remain very much a part of GOD and is immortal, you simply have to look inside your own self to realize this ultimate truth.

There is a way in which God, remaining Blissful comes and gives His own introduction. He will simply say ''I am God''.
So funny - by that time so many others would have said the same thing so because of them people will be confused as to WHO IS REALLY GOD.

But God is truth and those whose hearts will have enough truth will rezonate with God and therefore just come close to Him and recognize Him. It takes an account of a long period of experiencing and expressing as much truth as possible to meet God so those who have not yet started should better start now and those who have started - keep on being true because the reward is worth it.

Blessings to you brother,

All Holy text teach that God is unknowable. This includes the Tanakh, The Bible, The Quran and many more!

Most teach he is omnipresent, meaning he is in all things. He is beyond time and space, he is beyond any concept you have. He is transcendent. We only see him from our own individual perspectives. Each mans perspective is different. Only you see through your eyes. I can not see through your eyes nor may I tell you what you see..

As a result, fundamental to my belief is that I do not know. Your understanding is just a valid as mine. How can I say what is the absolute, full and complete truth when my Holy Book says God is past knowing.

Coming up Christian I have made it my business to study all three of the Abrahamic faiths and Holy Books. In addition I have studied some of the great eastern traditions of religion. As a result my eyes have been open to see the harmony of all of the Holy Text. I do not judge either the Quran, Bible or Torah by the rite, ritual, dogma of any group or any man. I judge them by what is written in them.

But again fundamental to my faith is I do not know.

I will say this, whatever you hold as your concept of God (especially if it is traditional), it (your concept) is the thing that keeps you from seeing him more fully. If you think you know him fully then that errant view, keeps you blind to knowing him better.

You cannot know him, but you can realize his divine spirit of love that is inherent in all things. When this divine spirit of love fully lives in you that is when you realize the indwelling spirit of Christ, or God consciousness or Buddha consciousness, or Krishna conscious or the perfect alignment of the 10 divine lights of the sefirot. These are all different perspectives of the same state of consciousness.

So now you see, you may realize God consciousness, but not the fulness of God himself.

Think about it, if there were any concrete thing or concrete concept that did reach the fullness of God we would all be practicing idolatry. The prohibition against idolatry is because no thing or concept can be God.

I hope this helps put things in perspective for you.

Blessings and peace to all,
All in all,
B

going to have to use a tad of logic- if God is beyond causation, then it would be impossible to realise God because this would CAUSE us to act in a certain way and therefore God would be made an element of causation. We can believe but never know for absolute definate because this would mean god was within the realms of space time and causation.

Your question is very old and a wise one.

Time and space are tools of the third demension as they teach man that they came from someplace and are going someplace along a linear timeline; yet, this is not the case.

God is within man as God is within all things. As religions teach to worship a God "out there" Up and "In Heaven" mankind does so ignoring the self within, where God is.

Consider the listed sources for truth.

GOD has taken your form on this earth so that he can experience himself through you as we all are part of GOD and not apart from GOD and can realise that :

1. We have to put GOD first
2. Perform our routine job without hurting anyone
3. Serve needy fellow beings or other parts of GOD selflessly
4. Spread joy .....with some good sense of humour.

We are like waves who have taken a temporary shape and will merge back into ocean called GOD once we die.

GOD BLESS!!!

space yes time no.... There is a real misunderstanding in Christian circles on the whole subject of time. Time is not the measurement of time. Time is one sequence after another no matter how you measure it. God is shown to us as a being who thinks new thoughts, makes new decisions and does this in sequence. If He were outside of time then He would be outside of sequence and therefore would not be able to make any decision before or after any other. He would not be able to have new thoughts because there would be nothing He would not know and therefore it would be impossible to have new thoughts. When Christians say God is outside of time and space they are talking in the absurd because they have not considered the consequences of their foolish comment.
This started with the false Neo Platonic concepts of Augustine and we have not ride the church of it yet 1400 years later.
We realized God when we know that He operates in our world in time and response to our prayers and decisions.
