A desire to serve him more

This question really hinges on what kind of God we believe in. If we believe in a loving God who has created a universe that makes sense, then it really doesn't matter what we would ask as a gift because, a loving God would already know our needs and be delivering these needs, even if we don't really understand that what we have been given is in some way a gift. An example of this comes from an Iraq veteran who lost his leg. I saw him on a documentary recently and he explained, literally I quote, "If I had it to do over again, I would still walk over to the IED because I have learned so much more about myself and this world in trying to cope with my amputation, than I ever would have learned without it."

So... this man, in some way, received an incalculable gift that he never would have asked for.

Having explained this, now I will answer your question: "If You Could Ask God For One Gift.. What Would It Be"

I would ask God to let me know what I can do for Him. I would ask for instructions.

Some people might say that this is something like what Solomon asked for but there is a little bit of presumption in Solomon's request that I don't feel comfortable with. I would simply ask, "How can I best serve You?"

God already gave me gifts ... though sometimes I think they are a curse .... who in their right mind would give someone the ability to heal people of anything and everything if it cannot be used worldwide? I guess I am never going to get an answer for that one ...

I agree wisdom is the best choice. But I'll go farther godly wisdom. Because all though Solomon had wisdom but he had the wisdom of the world. Why else did he fail so miserably in the end.

I agree with Solomon. I would ask for wisdom and understanding. I am 43 years old and know without a doubt that I can do nothing with out depending on my LORD day by day, minute by minute.

Have a great day.

I would ask God for the ability to speak in every tongue to be able to communicate with all living creatures and live in unity with the world.

everything else would be a cake walk after that...

plan how he wants it to be. God gives different
things to different people.

GOD has already given us the greatest of all gifts but like the coward man is you want more. And people give me the thumbs down for saying most people are hell bound and don't even know it. Praise the LORD.
