have you every looked at a map, thailand is a 7 hour jet airliner flight from japan, you think a ferry boat would be making a trip like that.

If by 'ferry' you mean cruise liner, then yeah.

Have you seen a map? Japan is more than 2,000 miles from Thailand. That would be pretty long ride for a ferry.
