In addition to the primary requirement, that of His eternal preexistence (Ps. 90:2; Mic. 5:2), which eliminates the God of Mormonism and the Jesus of the so - called Jehovah's Witnesses, the true and living God does possesses certain unique attributes, as well as communicable ones. What makes God unique is that God is the Original consciousness and made up of all things.
God is all things, and one.
This concept is beyond what most can comprehend or agree to.
Mankind will question God as if God was something besides them, or not in existence; yet, God is man, and within all things.
God expereinces all things as he "made all things". God experiences the physical world as a portion of "him" resides within man as God wanted to experience the third demension, the Earth Realm and mankind was the tool created for this endevor.
Mankind has long lost his awarness of "God" as this physical world is what we have learned to beleive is all there is; the ego has overdeveloped to the point of a liar as it teaches this world is IT and there is nothing further outside of it.
This places a perspective on God and man's relationship; the true nature of God is greatly misunderstood as God is often, if not always, placed on high to worship and this is unwise and a distraction from truth as God is within and not "without". Unlocking your ego is about letting go of false beliefs and finding God within as he is always there, the ego lies telling you he is not there, this truth lies within revelation if understood.

He's mysterious and beyond comprehension.
He is a jealous God, by his own admission:
Exodus 20:5
I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,
6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
From Wikipedia:
God is an eternally existent being that exists apart from space and time. God is the creator of the universe; and is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving.

sociopathic/psycopathic actions.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychopathy
read the entry and try to tell me that is not a perfect match for the god described in the bible.
EDIT: here are some specific quotes:
"Psychopathy is defined in psychiatry and clinical psychology as a condition characterized by lack of empathy[1][2] or conscience, and poor impulse control[3][4] or manipulative behaviors.[5] It is a term derived from the Greek psyche (soul, breath hence mind) and pathos (to suffer), and was once used to denote any form of mental illness, often being confused with psychosis. The term is often used interchangeably with sociopathy,[6] but there are differences among the three."
"In current clinical use, psychopathy is most commonly diagnosed using the checklist devised by Emeritus Professor Robert Hare. He describes psychopaths as "intraspecies predators[14][15] who use charm, manipulation, intimidation, and violence[16][17][18] to control others and to satisfy their own selfish needs. Lacking in conscience and in feelings for others, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse".[19"

He requires faith for belief.
There is no tangible evidence for his existence.
There are stories about tangible evidence and miraculous power that took place in the past or in other countries, but they can never be recreated live.
There is a book written by men about him.
He loves us all so much that he decided that eternal torture was a just punishment for people who require tangible evidence for belief.
All of the characteristics listed above can be applied to Leprechauns, Ra, Zeus and Neptune, except the last one. That is uniquely God's alone.
