Getting to heaven is not as simple as taking a route; were it so, people could argue that there are many routes. It is a matter of becoming reconciled with God, and for that, there is only one way, one truth, and one life (John 14:6).

Complicating the problem is the fact that many people are giving wrong information about how to get back into God's good graces. Some say we are predestined and there's nothing we can do. Others say we need to pray a sinner's prayer, after which we can do whatever we want. Those who are lost clearly need the right information about the most important decisions they will ever make.

The best sources of information are the directions given by Jesus in the four gospels and the interpretive help of the Church Jesus taught through is inner circle of disciples.

The requirements we can understand from those two sources include baptism (Mark 16:16; John 3:5), believing Christ and putting faith in him (e.g., Luke 7:50, 8:12), self-renunciation (e.g., Matt 5:3, 10), repentance (Matt 3:2; 4:17; 18:8-9; Mark 9:42-48), obedience to God, doing what is right and just (e.g., Luke 10:25-28; John 12:50), adopting the humility of a child (Matt 18:3-4; 19:14), eating the bread of life (John 6:51, 53-54), and endurance to the end (Matt 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13, Luke 21:16-18).

Saving the lost is every Christian's business (Mark 16:15): "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.'"

However, Jesus gave some practical advice about not wasting our time with people who won't listen (Matthew 7:6): "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces."

There are plenty of people who will listen, who hunger and thirst after righteousness.

Cheers,
Bruce

No but I could offer a direct route or a scenic route. The choice would be yours.

Not all routes are the same and not all people want the same thing along the way.

If I have to be in Las Vegas ASAP I'll take plane. If I have a week I'll take my sons with me on a road trip, maybe we'll find parts of Route 66. Hey what heck, if it's in the budget maybe we will go to Vegas by way of Antarctica.

And you know what? It is none of your business which way we go.

Fact is, it isn't our business how one gets to Heaven - It's the business of the Lord Jesus Christ for except through Him, no one enters there. We can give directions, but so many people seem to think that somehow their own worthless high moralled secularism which offers absolutely no road map will enable them to arrive at that Divine destination. Secularism is a journey taken by fools where the route is provided by Satan.

Of course, you are assuming many things:

1) That you really do know how to get to Las Vegas.
2) That you can accurately and precisely give directions to Las Vegas.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH I just realized, you compared Heaven to Sin City... LOL

There is only one way to heaven. The directions are so easy and given freely to anyone who asks unfortunately too many are still afraid to ask for directions. Maybe they can come up with a GPS for Heaven.

Yes, I absolutely agree!

God has issued a command and that is to..." go ye therefore and preach the gospel unto all the nations..." and to tell them that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life!

Your right. We can only give directions, then our job is over. It is left up to the individual and God if they get there or not.

I think it may be your business to pass on knowledge, but it is none of your business whether they accept your information or not. You can only make them aware. You can't force them to believe what you believe (if you are even right).

Yes I agree.
Satan makes them to say so .
They are under the deception of the satan and are bound by him.
I feel it's our duty to tell them .
Accepting or rejecting is up to them and it is their choice.
