if you have just removed your braces, your teeth are not yet that stable, and movement can occur and can happen in 3 to 5 days, that is the reason your dentist have you wear your temporary retainer in the first place...better be cautious and go there asap than have your years of treatment be gone to waste because relapse occured when your temporary retainer broke and you didn't go to the dentist to have it check and prevented....

no not really b/c i dont really think that it effects u that much for not wearing it for a week and half
