Islam is a religion started among the tribes born of Ismael, the son of Abraham by incest with a maid servant called Hagar. Muhammad claimed himself a status equal to those prophets right from the days of Abraham. This claim is discarded by the Jews and the Christians in the Abrahamic faily,

Because Christians don't believe in Muhammad as a prophet. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah and not just a prophet.

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate Ever Merciful
The theological reason why Christians dont accept Muhammad (peace n blessings of Allah be on him) as the Final prophet because they consult the Bible(Old n New) and not The sublime Quran.
It is common knowlegde that The Holy Text which was reveled on Moses & Jesus Son of Mary (peace be on them all) has been distorted in course of history but Quran has not changed.
If they study Quran with an unbiased approach they will get the TRUTH

They don't want to accept muhammad, because they haven't studied the true history of prophets. They don't want to accept because they don't know that jesuse himself admitted that the next prophet is Muhammad. If they study the true history of prophets, they do admit that Muhammad is truely the last prophet of god.Jesus was no more than a prophet. A human being can not be god and never worth worshiping. God can not be seen, so how could Jesus be God?

Christians have a Savior in Jesus. There's no need for more prophets, and in fact, Jesus warned His followers about NOT following prophets after Himself.

The answer to this question requires a lot of neutrality
At the outset I would like to point out I am a Muslim and I believe that Jesus peace upon him messenger of God and his mother Mary is a St., and God has been characterizing here as a mother of Jesus, peace upon him without a father to be a miracle to the worlds and evidence of Unlimited ability of God
one of the Condition of Islam is Believing on all messengers of God since Adam, peace upon him, even seal senders by Muhammad, peace prayers upon him
Islam Tell us about Jesus peace upon him as a messenger of God From this point of view every Muslim must believe in Jesus peace be upon him as a messenger of God
As for why Christians do not believe in Mohammed prayer and peace upon him is self-evident because it destroys their current Beliefs
Because Islam is the last religion and any person who believes that Mohammed prayer and peace upon him is the last messenger of god mast not apply the teachings of any religion
I think from the point of view that this is the reason
If Christians believe in Mohammed prayer and peace upon him they have to give up all the beliefs that they have like that Jesus is the son of God or is God and others
Sorry for the weak English languages
Since I used the program for translation
Thank you

Peace and blessings be upon you.
the God send the prophets and supported them with his miracles.
we knew the miracles of the jesus and believed that ,he is the messenger of the God .
there were people betray the Jesus but the God saved him and lift him to the sky and after that they said he is the son of the God and start to twist in the bible .
we knew the miracles of Mohammed and believe that, he is the messenger of the God.
Koran is the only book which didn't and will not expose to the distortion, and contain the all truth and proofs which stabilize us in the right religion.
