Money. It's almost always money. From your own point of view, why would you leave your home and travel to another country with new customs and a new and strange language if you weren't desperate? Of course, there are cases of religious persecution and political pressure, but it's about 99% money.
Why do you say "to much"? The Irish immigrated because their children were starving. The same is true of Italian immigrants. Today, Mexican families leave home and cross the US border illegally because the economics in their homeland make survival very close to impossible. I'm not justifying illegal immigration, just trying to provide an explanation for it.
By the way, it should be "too much."

No one left in Poland now, they all migrated to the United Kingdom the day Poland was accepted into the EU. They are entitled to move freely between EU countries, Poland is very poor they do not have much of a life in their own country. They not having much of a life in the uk either.
