CERTAIN MEDICATIONS CAUSE XEROSTOMIA (dryness of the mouth). BEING DEHYDRATED ALSO CAUSES MOUTH DRYNESS.
THE FIRST THING TO DO IS SEE IF MEDICATION IS TO BLAME. THE OTHER THING TO DO IS DRINK MORE WATER, NOT CAFFEINATED DRINKS BECAUSE THESE CAUSE MORE DEHYDRATION.

There are a number of causes of dry mouth. The most common is related to side effects of commonly prescribed medications. You should see your dentist for an evaluation.

You are probably dehydrated. Try drinking plenty of fluids and if that doesn't help - maybe see a doctor.
