will not effectively work through his feelings, if he is getting some random substitute instead of facing the pain and being on his own, as I am....? Just wondering. Whenever I see him he gets all teary-eyed, but I am over it now because I have worked through it.....would appreciate your experience. It seems that hiding and masking the pain is not the way to go....for a mature person, at least :-)

You want to be with him again? think about what were the causes of seperation. You always feel sad and teary of failed relationships. It does not mean he is still not over you. It takes time especially if you have kids together. It is always a sad thing to remember and know that the life once you build together did not sustain. Having a substitute helps to ease the pain but he must try to find someone real to avoid another failure. If you are over him, you have to leave him alone to cope himself. Avoid him and his life if you can.

He's and EX walk away.. Move on with your life. Hes seeing someone already, regardless of why. You've said you have worked through it. Meaning your ok with it. Its not on you to help him work through his, unless you intend remaining friends or seeing him again.. Who split with who first? If hes dating to get over you Im guessing you broke it off with him. Why are you concerned then? People work through problems in there own ways. Sad is the other girl may be hurt over it. Happens part of the dating game..

Don't you see he's playing on your sympathy and secretly wants to have you available to call on? Guys like this play the shame game to the hilt, playing hurt, telling you it's alll his fault, etc. He's trying to keep a way open to still get in your pants by making you feel you're better than the girl he is using. He's a cad.

I don't think you have worked through it because you are still worried about how he is feeling. People deal with break ups in their own way. You are right him not dealing with it is going to cause him to have issues in the future.

I went through the exact thing.. this year! My ex got this other girl he didn't mind much, but he once told me he was afraid of ending up alone.. so yes, I think that your ex is trying to cover up the fact that he is on his own, and doesn't want to.

You are funny, you actually think a man is a mature person? Men can do one thing at a time, drink beer or punch the remote; thinking is something strange to them.
