Using RF coaxial cables will NOT DELIVER HD signals from your DVD /Cable/Satellite systems.....only Low Definition signals....

That's because all of the mentioned boxes only send HD signals out of the COMPONENT or HDMI outputs....

Channel 3 is still a low def channel anyways....
NOW if they had Channel 3.1....then I'd be impressed that they added an HD modulator to their equipment !

If you are running antenna or CATV straight to the TV - then you use coaxial cable.

But many systems have a box that converts the coax to video & audio and several different sources: CATV box, DVD player, Game system. If you want to put these in the closet - you have to feed the video to the TV.

My advice is to run:

- 1 component cable
- 1 HDMI cable
- 1 coaxial cable

from the closet to the TV.

This way you have everything available.

My favorite cable site is BlueJeans. MonoPrice is another site for long cables, but the BlueJeans stuff uses coax & cables that production studios use.
