You bet! When I was overseas in China (Hong Kong specifically), Korea and Japan, it was customary to place bowls in the middle of the table and take pieces out with chopsticks and put it into your bowl of rice or just eat it directly. So, why not use chopsticks right out of the carton and share? Why use a plate which you will just have to wash and dry later and does nothing to enhance the experience? When I do this, get take out, I usually get two of each so my dining companion has their own, but not always. It is way cool to share and can be a very intimate thing if done right. It is like in the movies, sharing an ice cream soda head to head with two straws... The thing is... You swap a lot of germs when you kiss and people think nothing of it, but sharing a fork is seen as being unsanitary? Most people will NOT share a fork, claiming it spreads germs, which is why I wonder why people are so squeamish about sharing a fork and NOT about the MUCH more dangerous act of kissing.... You be the judge...
Oh, and yes, the next day, I eat the leftovers right out of the carton while standing in front of the fridge...

Do I? Or have I?

Yes, occasionally. Yes, occasionally.

Since I usually share my food with someone, however, we usually put the food on a plate. But if I'm alone, why dirty an extra plate? It tastes just as good (sometimes better) direct from the carton. And I usually use chopsticks. Makes the meal more interesting.

LOL how cute. No I never eat it from the carton. Or rarely anyway. I use a plate so I can mush the rice/noodles with the sauce. I love eating Chinese food from bowls actually instead of plates.

Sometimes I do eat out of the carton, if I'm at work, but when I'm at home I always eat from a plate. I guess it's the convenience factor. At home it's easy for me to find a plate or a bowl; at the office I'm lucky to find a fork.

It is good that you put your food on a plate. I would never eat out of a carton in public, and it is good to have a good habit of putting it on a plate so that no one sees you eat from a carton. It just looks better to puy it on a plate.

When I go for take-out, it's usually because I am STARVING! I don't have time to put it on a plate. I will eat it right off the carton. I don't even care if I am using plastic utensils or the real thing!

It all depends how hungry I really am, sometimes I do eat straight from the carton, other times I place the food on the plate and dig in.

Its somehow better out of the carton, I find. Its the same with Ben & Jerry's icecream . Because the food is not all spread out on a plate, it stays hotter, plus you get a better ratio of sauce and noodles, etc. per bite. And it looks so cool in the movies.

I've eaten it right out of the carton. But I've also put it on a plate. Depends on the occassion or if you're running short on time or if you simple don't want to have to do extra dishes.
