I seen a question answered only by jesussaves, and primoa, and instantly the theatre masks of "comedy" and "tragedy" came to mind...

I think primoa fits the "comedy" better, and jesussaves fits the "tragedy"...just a personal opinion...

no need to be insulted, i don't agree with either of them, but it seems to me primoa focuses more on positivity, and jesussaves focuses more on consequences, and eternal hell...

it's an observation, not an insult...

there are many scary fundies, ones who preach doom and gloom. there are only a few light hearted fundies who are like primoa who have very strong beliefs, but don't try to shove them down your throat. it's easy to respect the primoa types even if you don't agree with them, and easy to mock the other types

Well at least you are acknowledging that Christians have different views so they are not all alike. There was a time when the earth inhabitants all knew there was a God. They all spoke the same language too. They all worked together cooperatively to start building the tower of Babble. The idea was to get to heaven by their own efforts. The diversity of views among believers is, in my opinion, is God's way to prevent a repeat of that and to teach his children tolerance for one another.
EDIT
I wonder who I offended more? The Christians who cannot tolerate any differences or the Atheists who want to "forget" that there was a time when there where no Atheists?

I would agree with you that fundies have two-positive and negative...all the other 'Christians'-wow. Too many to count.
'Need I say more'-hehe. (Oh. It's Riley)
That was amusing since I'm sitting safely at my desk but I would be a little worried if I was face to face with some of the 'spirit-filled' ones...

The great evolution of Christianity has gone from torture and witch -hunting to a source of comedy. The next step for Christianity is to become the court jester that nobody listens to but gets a kick out of.

How many fundies are there?

Of course, it does go the other way. While you and I are both atheist, I assume we would greatly differ on other topics and perhaps in our responses to said fundies. I tend to get a bit more saucy than you do, while you usually have a good sense of humor.

Eek! Does that make me tragedy with jesussaves? Good zeus! More humor coming from me soon!

Well, you shouldn't generalize "Christian fundamentalism", or all of Christianity, for the matter, based on a few Y!A folks who have a lot of free time on their hands.

My understanding is: you will find some "fundies" in Christianity who are gung ho for evangelism, whereas some are more subdued in their walk, understanding that while the great commission to evangelize is important, God also gives individuals other "gifts" to use their life for, such as serving others, teaching, caring for the poor, etc.

Tragedy may be right in that it is a tragedy that so many people choose to ignore the truth.
And comedy in the sense as you said there is a positivity.

But truth and hope could appear to be tragedy and comedy to an unbelieving soul.
