a church's teachings are moot. Model your life around what God teaches.

Go with your heart, God lives there and would never lead you in the wrong direction. Finding god and church is a step process, changes will come as you follow his path. Keep in mind that the devil is busy, review you life and beliefs, read your bible, pray about it. God will answer.

This was a good question for me..I do believe in a higher power and have always wondered how do I choose? Which church is right? Who really knows the concept of god and religion? If I follow this one will I burn in hell or just be rejected at those pearly gates? My family has always visted different church at different times of the year. Love the Catholic's during christmas, the Baptist in the summer with the revivals, older cultural traditions (african) are very interesting they take the whole concept to another level but our families basis is Seventh Day Adventist.

I've found that I must listen to my heart, read, pray and try and live a humble and giving life. In the end It will be just he and I standing for judgement, no church or congregation. As long as I have followed his path his arms will always be open to me.

a little bit of both. The church you choose should fit around your beliefs, but in the same sense, you are supposed to live by the things you learn in church. You should not be in a church that the teachings are different that your own beliefs. But by the question you asked, it is inevitable not to ask the questions: Are you saved? Do you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins? or are you the type that believes in some other type of religion...? It all depends on what your own beliefs ARE...

If its a good church which teaches the Bible then you should conform your life to it.

If its a bad church and yes Virginia there are many bad churches around, then find a good church which puts its emphasis on the Word of God.

If your church baptizes babies, that's proof its not paying attention to God's Word.

If your church teaches that adults and teens need to be born again, that is a good inciation its teaching the truth.

If you'd like help in choose a good church in your local area you can ask me one on one and I'll do my best.

As a general rule NAE churches are good ones, although every local church is unique, there are bad churches even in the NAE.

As a general rule churches which are part of the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches are bad churches. There are exceptions but that's the general rule.

for sure. people will bypass the place they experience maximum comfortable. some church homes say that being rich is an indication which you've a difficlt time entering into heaven (that's far less complicated for a camel to bypass in the process the attention f a needle), some have faith that earthly wealth is an indication which you're being given rewards for being pious. that's why a number of of Episcopalians are medical doctors bankers and judges. maximum folk does not accept as true with the finished doctrine of their denomination in case you layed it out in front of them. Mormons as an occasion formally have polygamy (they might say it became replaced yet they can't vote to overrule God) in thier faith yet merely some sects nevertheless do it (even however being married I have not have been given any thought why, a million spouse is sufficient artwork, why upload to it?). Many catholics use start administration, even however the vatican banned it.

your life should bend around God's word the Bible. If your church is not teaching God's word then you should look for another church or congregation.

2 Timothy 3:16-17....All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

Church represents society in this case, while one's life represents individuality.

Whether one chooses individualism or socialism primarily changes from one person to the next... which will invariably lead to differing answers...
More commonly though, the socialist answer is what will be given in places like this to other people (i.e. all those who are saying that following the scripture or Jesus is most important)... whereas the individualist answer is what most of us will act upon subconsciously...

Personally... I act upon the individualist line of thought both internally AND externally.
My beliefs are like putty... to be carefully molded around my life and fit to it as it happens. My beliefs are my own, and that is the only way it should be.... for to take upon the beliefs of others is to sacrifice one's own personal identity.

First you need to know what you believe and why you believe it. Then you need to live what you believe and believe what you live. Ask yourself if your church's teachings are sound Biblical doctrine. Or are they just the opinions of the pastor. Don't believe something...just because your pastor or Bible teacher taught it to you. They may not have a clear understanding of things . Read your Bible, pray for Gods guidance and wisdom. You will know what the truth is when you hear it...or when you don't.

You should live your life according to the Bible's teachings. The Bible is God's word. The church sometimes may have false doctrines.

You should also pray to God for his help in understanding his word.

Choose to fit your life around the church's teachings. God, didn't make us all alike so quite obviously he wanted us to worship him as individuals not a collective whole. Besides I have had preachers, priests, and pastors of all deniminations tell me this, so there's my back up!
