Probably sushi but I know that wouldn't be a lot of people's taste. Oh, my sister had a hog roast buffet, which was great. The worst I've been to was a tradtional Italian wedding as there was at least 8 courses, I was full by the 3rd and we had to sit at the table for ouver 4 hours - maybe some people's idea of fun but not mine!

Check out the catering menu at Wente Vineyards (www.wentevineyards.com). They are one of the top 100 restaurants in the SF Bay Area. Hands down the best food ever... and the cake was AMAZING!

We ate at a Ritz Carlton reception, and it was incredible:
A lobster bisque appetizer, A potato-encrusted halibut (The other option was a trio of various beef dishes) a raspberry sorbet and fresh cream with berries dessert and small, fancy petit fours.
The food was amazing.

The best wedding reception meal we ever had was a full 5 course sit-down dinner with all the trimmings, very grand!! As there were 200 guests it must have cost a small fortune along with wine, champagne and cognacs!!

not to brag but i have attended quite a few weddings in my life and my wedding had the best food! I picked chicken breast cooking in a white wine sauce and asparagus, and garlic mashed potatoes and a great dessert!

I went to a buffet once that had such cute things, mini fish and chips in paper cones, roast beef in Yorkshire puddings, mini burgers etc. At our wedding we had a BBQ, sounds ordinary but my husband and his friends are all fine dining chefs, so it was a posh BBQ!

hmmm alot of people serve seafood but personally i don't like it.. it would be nice if you had a selection of 2 main meals for examle lasagne and a spring salad and something vegetarian such as tofu and cahr grilled vegetables. There's a wide variety of food you can choose from, i only suggest you don't have too much of a variety because it may get complicated and difficult

A wedding cake made up of small cakes.
They hired a 6 teir stand and filled it with all sorts of small cakes. It stood on a table in the middle of the reception.
Completely different and the talk of the wedding.
I will never forget that one.
