Death from Above - and your answer is relevant how?Do you not think that I would trust the fact that to be a surgeon one would have to have trained and passed the relevant exams/qualifications regardless of faith?

What a silly question. As a Christian I am sick to the back teeth of being generalised. Some fundamental Christians may well believe that the world was literally created in 6 days and that because the Bible does not mention dinosaurs they did not exist, but most of us are a bit more open minded. How do we know that the animals God first created where not dinosaurs? Maybe he created them first, realised they were not compatible with human life and destroyed them. I guess we don't really know do we. The story of the beginning is primarily the story of mans history, not the history of the planet. And as for the word 'day', it can be interpreted as 'era' or period, not just 24 hours. When Jesus talked about the signs of the last days and said 'in that day' he did not mean a specific 24 hour period, but a non specific time in the future. In addition, there are some mentions in the Bible of the 'behemoth' and 'leviathon', which some believe were dinosaurs. As for the poster who said there are no Christian doctors etc, well he wants to get out a bit more, clearly he has led a sheltered life. I'm a Christian midwife, and it is primarily because of my job that I am a Christian. When you see the miracle of life as I do it is hard not to believe.

Plenty and fossils are formed when a carbon based life form is buried in sediment. The life form decomposes leaving an impression in rock.
In order to get complete fossilisation the carbon based life form would need to be buried quickly. Strangely enough this would be the exact scenario if some great catastrophe such as a world wide flood had taken place.

nah, there are also no christian physicists, doctors, historians, dentists... the list goes on...
they are all heretics...
I wonder if you needed an open heart surgery (a procedure developed by a christian) and found out the surgeon working on you is christian if you would refuse treatment as a matter of your principles... I think I know the answer to that one...
EDIT: you have to be trained to be a geologist, no ?
your response is irrelevant.

I cannot see why Geologists cannot be Christians, there are no specific dates in the bible,
Adam and Eve could be symbolic, I don't know, so I cannot see your reasonong about you questioning fossils.
I am a Christian, but intelligent enough to know that everything in the bible isn't accurate word for word.

Yes, a friend of mine is a Catholic geologist and I'm sure there are plenty more. Why would that be heresy?
People who think they can use the bible to reject such scientific disciplines clearly do not undersand the bible.

There are a great number of Christian scientists. For information on this, please get hold of a copy of a great book, 'in 6 days: why 50 scientists choose to believe in creation.'
