I saw a lot of people making fun of him saying that it will never happen.

It is great that believers got together, finally, and God is respectful to their prayers. As far as those that like to make fun? I'm praying for them and that God would make Himself even more personal in their lives so they can learn to trust, love and depend on Him like I do.

When rulers and leaders start coming back to The Word and trusting God, it is a great thing for our nation. It is what really built up this country in the first place. Did you know that before every major war the "Americas" went through in the past, the presidents at taht time called for prayer and fasting each time and the U.S. won those wars? Pretty cool, huh?

It is a fact that can be checked out in the records of the U.S. archives of Congress.

God Bless!

Oh, I believe the intent of many people focusing one something can bring that something bout like rain. yes it can be prayer or spells or just a chant for rain or the thing you need or desire.

The question is will it be too much or not enough or just right.? I think it depends on the actions of the people in that state during the rain and after..

Does this prove that one God the Christian god heard these people? No, what it proves is that intent and focus does indeed bring things about. I have a hard time believing that everyone who prayed was praying to his God.

As I understood it and I may have understood it wrong it was not the governor praying by himself but an organized effort that brought many people together.

What is the statute of limitations on praying for rain? Does it count if it is a day or two later? And what amount needs to qualify as saving them? I heard on the news their lakes were like 17 feet below normal - did they get 17 feet of rain to make them right? Or just a sprinkle?

I say the gov has good timing and watches the weather channel :-)

Either way, he is wrong for publicly praying while operating in an official capacity at a state sponsored event.

This is not surprising for it says this in the Old Testament. Coincidence? LOL, I live in the South, the People in Atlanta were almost out of water. Sometimes it just takes a little faith to make it rain. I am soooooo Proud of Governor Perdue that he stood up against the minority to practice his freedom of speech, which seems to only apply to those that are going against the majority in America. Anyway, may God bless the Governor of Georgia, and may he let it rain on the State of Georgia.

The forecast had called for rain long before Sonny decided to announce his prayer vigil. And it only rained here a bit this morning and it's already starting to clear out. If his prayers did have anything to do with it, I have a feeling it was just a case of "I'll throw you a drizzle just to shut you up!"

What we need is harsher water using restrictions and actual enforcement of them....you know, something that will ACCOMPLISH something and isn't a complete waste of time and tax-dollars (and as a resident of GA who is not Christian I felt very offended that my public officials were doing that on the state capital that MY tax dollars go towards supporting. I pay their salary...they can pray on their own time)

It was bound to rain sometime. I'm sure that people in Georgia were praying for a while.

So here's my question. With all the drought that's been going on and all the damage that has been done, does one day of rain prove God is now good? What if the drought continues? Is a little rain not more than a tease? Does one storm repair the damage?

What if the problem isn't god, but the damage we are doing to the Earth?

Fools always make fun of the man of God. Georgia is blessed to have a real man who fears no one, but God.

For those who mock the Governor of Georgia, you'd better hope God doesn't hold you accountable by keeping his rain from you.

Have you ever been thirsty for water?

Have you ever heard a weatherman report rain and rain never came?

Have you ever heard a weatherman report sun in forecast and all you got was rain?

Watch the forecasts for the next few days.

What a joke. Of course they got rain - there was a large storm system coming through. Anyone with The Weather Channel can predict the weather.

First of God & State MUST be seperate
Because 90% of any religious belivers tend to dislike
Anyone of a differing religion leading to unfairness

So he should be removed from office right away

Second
As for him praying and getting it,
Im sure lots of people did the same
and im sure it didnt make one bit of difference
its just dumb luck.

Ever heard of "The law of averages"?

If I pray that there will be snow in the next three months I bet that comes to pass too. How miraculous.

So all this rain the magic sky genie sent has filled the reservoirs by now, right?
