I have a 9 month old female maltese that I love very much
I kiss and cuddle her A LOT because she is so cute and she also sleeps in my bed with me
Usually she likes to lay on the pillow with her face in mine and won't go to sleep unless I put my hand out for her to sleep on top of
My mom says this is spoiling her and that she should sleep at the foot of the bed, not in my face
Also that too much cuddling/ kissing spoils her too
I can't help it! She is very cute! Is this spoiling her?

Sure it`s spoiling your little raggamuffin, but that's what you do with little cuties like that.
It`s really hard not too, plus a Maltese doesn`t have an undercoat so shes going to get cold or chilled just like a person. Also, since Maltese`s have tiny bladders letting her sleep cuddled next to you can prevent night time puddle accidents, cause you know how getting cold makes you want to pee more. I`m not trying to be crude with that statement, I`m just being realistic. Maltese`s are one of the cutest little dogs I`ve ever seen.
Stina, a Maltese is lucky to weigh 10 lbs full grown. (lol)

I'm the proud mama of 2 pits and have let them sleep in my bed since the day I've had them. My boy loves to sleep right next to me and seems unwilling to sleep any other way. And yet still he knows I'm the mom therefore the boss of all things so don't listen to that person who said you'llhave dominance issues of all kinds.
As long as you're showing her who's boss the rest of the day, everything should be fine.
And what life isn't complete without a dog sharing your bed? : )

Feeding her junk food and letting her get away with bad behavior like jumping on you and tearing things up is spoiling her and responsible owners don't do these things, letting her sleep with you is a personal choice. The only reason my dog doesn't sleep by my face is because the cats get there first. he sleeps under the covers.

I think it's fantastic that you share such a special bond with your dog.
Just keep in mind that the dog will get bigger and soon you will have an adult dog sleeping in your face, rather than a little puppy.
If you're fine with that, go for it! No harm done, as long as the dog is being properly trained in basic obedience outside of the bedroom!

As long as you are disciplining her as well as giving her affection, I dont see a problem with it. I have a Yorkie that sleeps in my bed some too. He has a bed of his own, and when I want him to sleep there, he will. But I dont see a problem with him sleeping in my bed. I know he's a dog, but why does that automatically mean he has to sleep at the foot of the bed? Are there dog rules I just dont know about? LOL. He obeys me just fine. And I like to sleep with him; he's very warm and snuggly!

There's nothing wrong with letting your dog sleep with you if that's what you choose. Every cat and dog I've ever had were allowed to sleep with me and a Rottweiler is no small dog. And cuddle away. Dogs love and need affection, too.

heck my dog is over 75 lbs and sleeps in my bed, in my face! I too hug and "kiss" him all the time. He may be spoiled but what are they for if not spoiling?

If she's a good dog and you aren't having any dominance issues with her, why not. One of my dogs likes to sleep next to me and sometimes under my arm and both cuddle up when I'm watching TV. Both are obedient good dogs and I see no harm in it, especially if you're enjoying it.

yes it can be. You might want to start crate training her! i love my dog and when we first got her we put her in her crate at night, she didn't like it for a while but then she got used to it and was fine. Then we moved and we didn't have anywhere to put the crate since it was i little big so we stopped and now she's gotten into a habbit now of sleeping on my brothers bed which isn't good.
She was alot better when she was in her crate!
