I think it goes back to the baby as when we feed them when baby baby they would fall asleep while drinking there bottle and a soothing feeling so I think but might be just me could lead from that
but I know all kids do that he might not be tired just gets full and what do we all do when full understandable we go to bed or the sofa but we want to sleep
take Loads pictures for when older they are great don't worry you not doing anything wrong..
try little naps on afternoon around 12pm to 2pm then gives a chance to get sleep out but you can get them to bed at night for mummy time
Good luck
and they grow out of it well some of them do My Mam always used to say to me I could fall asleep on a washing line...

You are feeding him during nap time. You might want to do an slightly earlier lunch and a set nap time for awhile....I dont remember my kids falling asleep while eating but do remember sending them to nap or bedtime during mealtimes cuz they were sleepier than hungry.

He probably lack sleep at night.
If he don't like to go to bed at night, then you need to make the bed time more fun for him. I think a nice warm bath and a massage before bedtime will do. Also read him bedtime stories. And you need to be consistent with the timing. If you decided to put him on bed at 8, the same goes every night. Make it as a routine.

he wouldn't of fallen asleep if he was that hungry go ahead and eat it besides you can always get him something else to eat if he wakes up hungry the true question is are you hungry or do you want to eat it because its there? why don't you go get some fruit or veggies instead? if you want something with calories why waist them on a hot pocket? go for the mother load, a big bowl of ice cream!mmmmmmmmm

feed him a little earlier, like before one, then if he starts to act drowsy, help him finish up what hes eating and then put him in his bed with a story or a song.
