i needed to download microsoft word on to my laptop so that i can do my course work and my dad has downloaded one for me....unfortunetly the only 1 he found was german-i can still write in english but i dont no what print preview is in german. can you help?

it means Druckvorschau

so the riddle is already solved.
Just if anyone else is curious - the expression Microsoft uses in the German version of Word is "Seitenansicht" but I guess their symbols are universal - it should be a page and a magnifying glass.

Vorschau Drucken/Drucker.................I think!

Drucken means Print in German so if it's not as above, in the menu you will have Drucken & ****** Drucken.
The latter being print preview.

The icon should be the same though (upright rectangle with a magnifying glass).

the scroll down to from English to German
then you will know how it is spelt in German

Well, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but förhandsgranska is Swedish, so it's no wonder nobody could tell you.
