After, Because we are all sinners at one time, We can only come to God just as we are, so after we come to God, then God will take away our desire for sin. With some it is slower then with other & Visa verser.

People should be smart enough to realize their sins and change their evil ways.

People who need divine intervention just to make them change are hopeless people.

Besides we are already saved from our sins before we ever committed them.

We got banned from Eden remember because of the whole Adam and Eve story with the apple... (They tell kids the fruit was an apple but it never was...)

But because Jesus got crucified and payed for our comitted sins in advance we were given a chance to enter Heaven.

That's why if we're good we go to Heaven, those who sinned and sorry for it are in purgatory and evil people in Hell..

The end of the world judgement day is different...

In the judgement day, everyone, everywhere, dead or alive will be judged again...

Think of it as a recategorizing.

Since it is impossible to change your evil ways before you have received the Holy Spirit in your life, the changing happens after you are saved, and don't expect it to be a rapid process. It takes years for you to cast out the old nature and build a new nature. But with the help of the Holy Spirit it can be done.

In order for one to be saved, one must hear the word of God in there lifetime for the seed to be sown . Romans 10:17 " So then faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the word of God ". Once that person comes to trust and believe and put their faith in Jesus as their personal savior , he will want to do the will of God. Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good , and acceptable, and perfect , will of God ". 2Corinthians 5:17 " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new .www.fbbc.com

The Bible says 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 " Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are past away;behold, all things are become new. After recieving Christ you are Born Again according to Jesus in John Chapter 3 verse 3. This is the beginning of a new life, in which his Holy Spirit assists you in any changes in life you might need to make. We are never perfect, but we strive to be obedient to his commands and when we fail we ask his forgiveness First John Chapter 1 verse 9.

People don't have to change their evil ways ever. The whole point of being saved is that God does it for you. Jesus changes you.

Sequence of "grace and truth" is grace AND truth;
which "came by JC" for comparison to law and lie.

The law (and surely die lie) was given by Moses,
but grace AND truth came by Jesus Christ: Jn 1:17

So "God our Saviour" will notably have two things:
- all men saved (graced), AND
- all aware what delivered from: law (evil).

Our Father, deliver us from evil: Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the law: Rom 7:6
What remaineth is global awareness of it.

For of three mentions of reconciled, third is:
"be ye reconciled ("through" J-->C) to GOD".
And whenever reconciled to God, what then?
No more need for a mediator nor intercessor.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I have always been under the impression that BEFORE you become SAVED you are dedicating your life to the Lord and will therefore change your ways in time because you are trying to become a better person!

I've always believed after, or as part of what happens to you when you get to know God. Now I think there isn't a rule. I've heard of people changing their ideas/ways and then getting to know God. Karen Armstrong, although calling herself agnostic, suggests that her life changed when she started getting more compassionate.

People and situations differ, and God and his ways can't be contained in our doctrines.

First we must have faith, how can we have faith?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Who will we listen to?

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

After hearing the preacher sent by God, we must be baptized.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
