what is the application that works like a domain controller in Linux. Which is the best distro for Domain controller service.

Its not hard, SAMBA, can easily be configured for PDC.

Nearly ALL distros come with SAMBA so pick one you like and is easy to install and your near done! Red Hat, Suse, Ubuntu all will have this ability. (If not you just add Samba and you have it.)
