I'm making my own wedding invitations and need to find a way to stick organza type ribbon to card. Obviously normal glue like pritt stick will come through the ribbon and make it sticky, are there any ways to do it without making all the ribbon sticky? Would glue dots work, or some sort of spray glue? Any suggestions much appreciated! :-)

I would poke holes in the cards and tie them on.

Lots of good ideas. The little glue dots will work, or monoadhesive like Tombow. That's my favorite adhesive, but if you do a lot of scrapping and card making, it gets expensive.

One thing I do sometimes, if the ribbon is going on a piece of paper that will be layered on another piece of paper, I use regular tape, the magic kind that looks sort of frosty on the roll, on the back. Then I put some sort of embellishment on the ribbon to help hold it in place.

Brads and eyelets, holes in the paper to thread it through, and vellum adhesive are also good choices.

If you go to an independent scrapbook store, not Michael's or Hobby Lobby, the staff can usually tell you the best way to do things.

you can buy invisible double sided sticky tape or look in the scrapbook sections of craft stores and see what they have. you can get glue dots that are invisible if you just want to secure each end of the organza ribbon. either way, both will work okay. spray adhesive used sparingly will do, but you will need to be careful

Use double sided tape or you can use spray glue also.

Good luck with the cards and best of luck for your marriage :)

Try double sided tape instead.
