Songs like Shower me with your love. Anniversary, Pretty Brown Eyes. Lets Get Married. I know those songs are not that old, but over the last five years slow jams went down hill. Can you name a song from that era.

I was just talking to my wife about that a couple of nights ago. We saw a Chuckii Booker video. You're right, music in general has gone down hill. But there are still some artist like Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige that still make love songs.

I know exactly what you mean. Me and hubby are always talking about this subject and totally missin' on the awesome back-in-the-day jams.
One of my fave slow jams is "Here and Now" by Luther Vandross. I think the song debuted in 1989, if I remember correctly.
By the way, Surface and Mint Condition are a couple of my favorite groups. You have great taste (in my opinion, of course).

It's just sad! I make my kids listen to music from back in the day. With authors like Luther, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Teddy P, Harold Melvin, Billy Ocean and Barry. I take it back for them to let them know that this crap that is out there is not real music.
Let's keep in mind my generation of music New Edition, Toni Tony & Tone, Mint Condition, and the list goes on.
