A war is the continuation of state policy by other means( when normal means have failed). Therefore, from the point of view of a national policy, your or my views are just that ie mere views and nothing more.We all abhor, hate and try to avoid a war but a state can't do it so easily, where so much more is at the stake. But for 9/11,America wouldn't have been forced to open a front in Iraq,to contain terrorism and importantly to convey to the terrorists-in waiting else where about the consequences of harming American interests ,within or outside of USA.

It isnt about oil in the way that you believe and it isnt based on lies. Both of these are lies used by the anti war left to undermine the war operations. Tens of millions of people who once lived under brutal regimes are now free- that is NOT terrorism. Terrorism is attacking civilians in order to instill fear.

The war on terror. It will be long, difficult, expensive and painful.
Chemotherapy. It is long, difficult, expensive and painful.
Home mortgage. Long, difficult, expensive and painful.
Raising kids. Long, difficult, expensive, and painful.
Why do we do these things? Because they are worth it. The war is being fought to protect our country and its citizens. I think our freedom is worth the time, problems, money and pain we will suffer.
You don't seem to think it is so why do you take advantage of these freedoms? Shouldn't you have to give them up since you don't agree with the war being fought to preserve them?
It's typical childish thinking. I like it, I want it, I deserve it, I should get it, but why do I have to pay for it.

well, since the middle east is home of o.p.e.c. and they don't mind extortion so much, then, lets look at america as the food crop of the world and call ourselves o.f.e.c. and lets start infecting the grain we export to other countrys with something to make people sterile and sell the grain really cheap through the united nations
