My laptop does not indicate the usual wireless symbol on my taskbar. I can't surf the net on my wireless. The buttons and indicators are all switched on and my wireless router is also working fine. The problem is my computer does not have any wireless connection link. So how do I solve this problem? I am suspecting it is my driver's problem. If so what do I do? Thanks.

*ps: the internet is working fine on ethernet ports.

A lot of laptops actually have a switch that turns the radio off or on. (I know my HP, Toshiba, and Fujitsu all do). If your radio gets turned off, it wont work! Check to see if the wireless radio is off. I spent two days trying to figure this out the first time I did it!.. Know your laptop. Some of these are Fn keys and some are an actual switch on the unit so look close (or read the owners manual -- I never do but should have!)

If your Laptop is new or still under warranty, you may be able to contact your support source thru the 1-800 numbers provided in your user guide. If you have a ethernet cable, try plugging up directly, if that works you may have a bad wireless card. If I knew more Info about you operating system etc. I might be able to help you more. Try to reset or update the driver on your wireless card. after you do that restart your pc. If its still not picking it up trying doing a ip configuration (ip release and renew) and try that.
