Only half agree here. Some questions are so obscured by poor spelling and grammar as to be unreadable and/or confusing. Sometimes when this happens their question is so hidden or ambiguous it is necessary to ask the questioner to clarify their question. Wiseass remarks maybe out of order, but a gentle critique which will help them get their problems read more easily and without ambiguity is surely a good thing.

Hello Jimmy,
Yes I do.
Although my strongest subject is English language, I still make spelling mistakes.
That is why I always use the free program IESpell to check it over before posting. IESpell also has an English dictionary and can be used on-line too.
Even those who pull others up on their spelling make mistakes sometimes. I wonder how they feel when their mistakes are pointed out to them.
As long as I can understand the question, I never pick fault with any spelling or grammatical errors I may see.

yes, as i feel they are only here for the fun of it and not because they truely want to help others. Except when they need help themselves. Everyone of us on here are from all different ages, and countries around the world so everyones english isn't going to be perfect. The english language (spelling) is pretty mixed up anyway, so aslong as we can make out what someones trying to say then why should it matter how its spelt.
FOR EXAMPLE....WITHOUT STUDYING IT CAN YOU READ THIS????
"It has been stduied by reseacrhers taht not evrey word in the engilsh dictoianry needs to be splet corerctly. This shows taht our brains are capbale of raeding words aslnog as the fisrt and lsat letters are in the corerct plcae. Our brains pcik up these two improtnant letters and asesmlbe the rset of the word wihtuot us realsiing it. So it jsut geos to show you dnot hvae to be good at spleling to undesrtnad waht soemone is syaing".

No. We all have access to a spell check, even if you aren't much cop at spelling, you can always check it. Even I have been known to use it from time to time and my spelling is generally considered to be excellent.
Usually, I use it when I post a pompous answer like this to make sure that none have slipped through and I won't end up with egg on my face.

Yes it could just be a typo and someone always has to microanalyze it. And the Ha--2 points thing is useless and childish. Why bother to participate in Y/A for the points. We don't get any gratuity for points so the satisfaction of helping each other is our only reward.

I am somewhat critical about spelling mistakes. If they are minor, I don't say anything, but sometimes the mistakes are so great that the question is not clear.

Spelling is important to some people. It is important to spell correctly so that people find your question easy to read. Questioners would get many more answers if they bothered to spell correctly. After all, there is a spellchecker. I personally don't need to use it because I am well educated but I do expect people to try.
