where does the investigation go? now lets now wait for reaction from the police that covicted him on such flimsy evidence

Penny i sense hostility from you. Any sensible thinking human being had doubts from the start . It reeked of the police being desperate to get someone at any cost. Are you advocating that we should just get anyone for the crime. or should they have done their the job competently in the first place

The next step will be a retrial. George hasn't been proved innocent yet.

EDIT - I wasn't intending to be hostile at all. My point is that George needs to be cleared before resources are put into finding an alternative suspect. By the looks of it his conviction was very shaky but man needs to be ruled out of any further investigation first. Then hopefully there wont be any more judicial SNAFUs. BTW, my money is on someone who knew Dando already ( naming no names ).

About bloody time, that was the dodgiest frame-up since the "Bakewell Tart" murder...

The police put all their eggs in one basket, now after such a long time they are scr*wed without new evidence coming to light.
