There are ants in my laptop. I dont eat near it and maintain it properly. And it is not even a year old. Every time I open the laptop, i see one or two ants running around the keyboard. I had tried blowing air through the holes. And a few more emerge. When i removed the battery i saw a fes duck back into the laptop. So what can I do to clean up other than ofcourse handing it over to service personal. Will using a vaccum cleaner help? Also why are there ants inside a laptop - is there any sugary component inside? Please help me, its frustrating to see ants running across the monithor and keyboards while working.

ants?? yikes! I would try vacuuming it. Just make sure it is turned off when you do. There are no sugary components inside a laptop (lol that made me picture a gingerbread laptop haha). Maybe someone else ate something while using it?

The first step is to deny them any source of water near the laptop. Make them crawl for it. The second step is to spray a ring of insecticide (ant killer }around the laptop. Third step is wait a day or so. Without water they will crawl into the ant killer to get some.

umm, I dont think a vacuum cleaner will do the job, it might suck in your keyboard buttons, what i recommend is to put poison spray stuff around your room and not go in the room for about 3-5 hours, remember to close all windows and doors in the room after you have sprayed the poison, you can but it in your Supermarket, like Coles, Woolworth etc.

Buy one of those ant-trap with insecticide in them and place em next to your laptop. That might help!

Try Ant Eater. Leave it to your laptop..
of course it will eat the ants...

kill an ant and crucify it and put it inside your computer. This will scare the crap out of the remaining ants.be sure to mutilate it though, be creative. stick his legs through his eyes, stuff like that. also put a sign next to him that says death to all those that dwell. soon enough you will see a line of horrified ants making a bee line away from your computer.

i would get canned air.. and since i am a tech savy i would open it up and spray it.. that is the only solution.. thats what a technician would do
i suppose u could wait around until they come out and vacuum them quickly
