You really have to submit to the LORD. By doing so, you have to seek HIM whole-heartedly. You have to have FAITH and BELIEVE. You can't just send HIM an order list and expect HIM to fill it, especially if you are not doing your part. Have you read JOB in the Bible? Please read it when you have a chance. God tests his faith.
GOD has not given up on you so don't give up on HIM.
The LORD wants you to put HIM first above everyone and everything.
Matthew 4:7
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
Deuteronomy 6:16 (NIV)
Do not test the LORD your God as you did at Massah.
Deuteronomy 13:3
you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Job 12:11
Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food?
Job 23:10
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
Job 34:36
Oh, that Job might be tested to the utmost for answering like a wicked man!
Job 7:18
that you examine him every morning and test him every moment?
Psalm 17:3
Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.
Psalm 26:2
Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
Psalm 66:10
For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
Psalm 78:18
They willfully put God to the test by demanding the food they craved.
Psalm 78:56
But they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High; they did not keep his statutes.
Psalm 139:23
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Malachi 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
~Did you fully understand what the last scripture says?
Just have faith and believe in HIM.
Don't loose your faith. God wants to know if you truly love HIM.

I feel you are praying incorrectly, instead of bring love to me, you should be praying to have G-d help you shine His love thru you, as a beacon in the sea, attracting and emitting His light, a G-dly man who is also seeking a mate would be attracted to your shinning light as a moth to a flame. Dont worry about what other people get or how fast He answers their prayer, you are not aware of the circumstances behind that answered prayer, you say you understand G-d , perhaps more than other people, well understand this and remember when His people were held in slavery by Egypt for generations. Now I know those people prayed till they cried out blood for their release from this torture and degradation, but what seemed like unanswered prayer, from their G-d was only G-ds divine and all knowing time clock, waiting for the right moment when all the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place, and not heavan or hell could change it Dont lose faith, just remember 1 day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day in the realm of the Almighty.. "Let not my will, but thy will be done"
Hope that helped.

"Don't Understand Why Prayer Is Not Getting Answered? " Or could it be that it HAS been answered but YOU don't like the answer. Never ASSume that just because what you pray for doesn't come true that your pray has not been answered...When someone asks YOU a question don't you have two seperate answers you can give? Yes being one and no being the other. Obviously your "god" feels (as I do) that you are too immature right now for the answer to your prayer to be what you want it to be. I have to agree. You're acting like a spoiled child who wanted a cookie but was told "no". So go stomp your feet, beat your fists against your thighs and throw your little tantrum.

I believe in God, but I am a skeptic in regard to praying for something, and things will happen. I have been praying or a certain type of woman to enter my life, and this has not happened. I finally realized that to a major extent, I had to go out to seek and try to find my mate. This is not easy for me because I am all alone. Fortunately I live near the most exciting city on this planet, New York City.
If prayer were the answer, we would have a cure for dreadful diseases, conflicts around the world would be eliminated or reduced, and the global destruction (warming) would reverse itself. I do not think prayer makes things happen, but I do believe prayer inspires.

Hey, man. It isn't up to God to answer your prayers just because you say so. It isn't a contest of who's "holier" get their prayers answered faster. Everything comes to us when it is supposed to. Maybe God feels you are not ready yet. Your life has a plan. Maybe you aren't at that part yet. Like the song says, Some of God's greatest girfts are UNanswered prayers. God knows what's best for you, even if you don't.
All you can do is wait. If you were truly devout you'd know this already. God isn't a complaint department or a service desk. He isn't a prize in a contest. You need to think about this in a more mature way. By the way, you have no right to judge other people's committment to God vs. your own. Maybe that's why he isn't answering your prayers. You're way too arrogant.

I was Christian for 22 years and never once had a prayer answered (and yes I knew how to pray "properly" and I didn't ask for things for me). I think that you need to take matters in to your own hands, get out there and start meeting people, I am sorry but God is not gonna drop a gift wrapped companion on your door step, go out and get involved in your community, try a new church in the area and take control of your life.

God does not wear a time watch. Have you ever heard the song sung by Garth Brooks ~ "Thank God for Unanswered Prayers." Well, he knows what is best for you and maybe you need to be patient. Maybe this is a test of faith? You pray, and God answers prayers ~ his way, his time, what is best for you. If you choose without waiting for his guidance, you will be sorry for missing the woman of your dreams.
Good luck and don't be so inpatient. Make your life better so that when that soul mate that God has chosen for you comes along ..... happiness will be all that you will reap.
God Bless!

Each of us have our own realationship w/ GODright? And from your asking reminds me so much of when i prayed always expecting for it to be really me playing god. I dont think i ever just said to this god of my own understanding,Hey i cant see you and i cant feel you or even touch you so why then wont you just come here to me because my God seemed everywhere but here with me,in my heart is now where i let him be and i have found a new kind of love for me that no person, no place or thing ever gave me. So if you have low expectations and high hopes you can allow just that you are exactly where you are supposed to be,nothing happens when our motives are not coming from a good place just trust and believe that you have no control over these things and everyday a.s.a.p.say to yourself today i will let go of my wants and i pray that Gods will be done. Not mine i must let you have my burdens they are causeing me negitive quick fixes that are not of you dear God. And give it freely not expecting anything but goodness and kindness and to restore you whole. It worked for me, And believe me i fired my old god he was punishing and not forgiveing. I thought i had to get good to get god and itrust and believe i must get god to get good.Let go and you to will see. You will be all that you are but with a purpose...Good Luck has nothing to do with it. Just be sure that you know you are the love of his life.

Reciting a prayer is much like making a goal. You can ask God to do it all for you, or you can offer to help him answer by working to achieve your goal. You must be willing to help yourself first. The Lord will not put anything upon your shoulders that he does not believe you can carry.

4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
[Psalm 37:4]
1What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. [James 4:1-3]
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
[Matthew 6:33]
