too good to be true but interesting. I don't think it's a bug or a bag because it looks nothing like either and besides people would have seen similar things long before this if it were just a common thing like a bug or a bag.
Might some local pranksters who are giggling now about the press they've gotten.

It's A FISH!!! Its a FAKE, If you looke closely you can see its a video of a fish swimming and then edited to be "the gas station ghost" uuuuuuu eeerie. ;)

It may be something really close to the camera that it could not focus on, like a piece of a plastic bag or something. Something like that could easily be done with a PC and Adobe after effects.
