Katherine (with either a K or a C) is a lovely name. It is the one traditional and popular name that I personally would name a daughter. Not only is it beautiful, but it's strong - think of Catherine the Great and the three queens named Catherine who were married to Henry VIII (Katherine of Parr actually survived him).
Lyonene looks like a variation of "Leonine," which means "lion-like." Unless you are prepared for a daughter meeting this description - as well as any teasing that your daughter may endure - you shouldn't use this name.
Leia - easy - I think Star Wars and buns on both sides of the head.
Leah - weak or timid, unwanted first wife of Jacob.
Evelyn - tough name for a kid, but a great name for an adult. Can go by Evie or Lyn. Strong and sensible. I was friends with an Evelyn in law school, and she remains one of the most intelligent and interesting people I've met.

Evelyn. That's the prettiest. My parents hade some pretty rude comments when I announced my daughter, Daisy. A cow's name. Makes me think about cheese. Or a mideastern stripper. (go, dad.) The old names are back. I like the flowers, myself. Lilly, Violet, Iris. They should be ashamed to name me Brandy. (I have a brother named Delbert. The third. Any jokes yet?) So. Keep up the list. Evelyn was my grandmas name and she kicked some serious *** as a wartime wife and mom of 6 boys. She was tough and all woman. Good luck mom!

Kate is a great name, it is my sister's name and I chose it! So I think of someone lovely and kind and intelligent like my sister when I think of it.
Lyonene is unusual and I imagine would be the sort of name she'd constantly be having to spell it out.
Leia I would imagine to have parents who were star wars geeks and went to conventions, sorry I just don't like this name!!!
Leah is a pretty and nice name, I picture someone nice for that.
Evelyn I think sounds like an old woman, I like Eve or Evie though, which sound like more of a young girl's name.

Katherine and Kate remind me of loyal people with lots of friends, Lyonene sounds too much like lonely, Leia will always have to spell her name to everyone she meets,Leah makes me think of a person who will fit in anywhere and Evelyn sounds like a sweet, kind soul.

Katherine is a very strong willed individual. She is head strong and stands up for what she believes in, sometimes to the extent that she forgets that other people may have different opinions. She places alot of value on friendships and will often conform to the latest trends of her friends
Lyonene is a shy and very self-concious. With thick brown hair cut into a short wavy style, she places alot of importance on deep friendships. She constantly seeks approval from her friends and family and does well in school.
Leia is adventurous and spontaneous. She loves to go with the flow and has heaps of friends who love her carefree attitutude. She is smart but not particularly "academic" as her mind is often elsewhere.
Leah is confident, almost to the point of being self-centered. She only has time for her friends and will not often go out of her way to "entertain" people she does not see as "worth it". She needs to work to achieve good grades and often struggles as she is more interested in spending time gossiping
Evelyn is very bubbly and loves anyone and everyone. She will hang out with anyone and help out anyone who needs it. She places most importance on being there for friends and indivuality

I love the name Evelyn! I don't get why many who've posted here associate it with a grandmother. I think it's really pretty, cute and feminine. Have you seen the film, 'Evelyn' before?
