You know, pairs of words that have the same rule in sounds as "kitchen" and "chicken", what do you call them? And can you give me some more examples?

I mean pair of words that have the same syllables, but the positions of the consonants are changed. Like "kitchen" and "chicken": [k]it-[ch]en, and then [ch]ic-[k]en. You know what I mean?

This "'pun'" upon word Q has variety ways (anagramming) of 'Spoonerism, Metatheses,' etc.

:-))) "thicken" & "chicken" & "kitchen" (sounds like).

Homonyms. Homonym, is a word of the same spelling or sound as another but with a different meaning; (other) ex.:
grate = fireplace
grate = to rub
great = large

I'm sorry; I don't know what you mean by the same "rule". "Kitchen" and "chicken" have the same number of syllables, and they also have the same vowels. Is this what you mean? Another example of a similar pair of words is "Saratoga" and "Arizona".

They don't know what you mean, do they? But I do.
Words like 'Stockland' and 'Scotland',
'dummy' and 'muddy' etc.
However, I don't know if they have any specific name.

Later: Whoever gave me a thumbs down is wrong, wrong, wrong.
