You will feel odd changes first - like moods, nausea, some light discharge, different sex drive etc. You will probably being to feel odd tingling in your boobs, but nothing more than these tiny little things until about 3 or 4 months, when you will begin to show and your body will take on a different shape. Then you will really feel it!
As for feeling maternal. It can happen before you get pregnant, or not until after you've given birth.
I only felt the above - with major sickness, with my first two. With my third, I felt ill for about two weeks - really ill. Light headed, tired, weepy etc. It finally clicked that it might be a baby and was. Working it out, that happened from 2-4 weeks of pregnancy. Like I say though, it didn't happen with the first two. Every woman and every pregnancy is different, but the above are some good things to look out for.

It varies. I knew within two days because I'm quite in tune with my body, but it could well be that a woman doesn't know for ages. The most obvious signs are morning sickness and missing a period but going to the loo more frequently, feeling hungrier, having a 'metallic' taste in your mouth, breast tenderness, stomach pains, tiredness and tastes changing (ie not liking curry or coffee any more) are also possible signs. The best thing to do is have a pregnancy test which will give a more positive result.

I have a pretty good track record of telling if someone is pregnant or not. So far I'm batting a perfect record with 10 positives and 4 sorry-but-you're-not.

One quick way to tell is a woman's eyes. If they have a bit of puffiness and darker shade around them then you might want to get checked. It's just a tell....and could be due to a late night out....but it's pretty reliable indicator if no other reasons for that appearance exist.

Obvious signs of course are the missing period for the second time in a row and a positive indicator on an EPT. The totally reliable indicator is the presence of a baby in your arms 7 to 8 months after your first suspicion that something is different.

Good Luck and best wishes for you to get whichever result you seek.

For the most part, you won't feel any signs until AFTER the missed period, but it ALL depends on the person...Everyone is different. I'd say by 8 weeks you'll be feeling some of the signs (morning sickness etc)
But many women claim that tender breasts are the first sign they felt. Sometimes they feel this even before the missed period.

Just how old are you?Are you actually female? Either you are making us look like idiots or you have lead a VERY sheltered life. Missed period is a sign, and then blood spotting in your underwear- this is implantation bleeding! Sore boobs, nausea, tiredness are also symptoms. Some women say that they have a feeling that they are pregnant. If in doubt, get a pregnancy test or talk to your doctor.

Edit: didn't know about the eyes, ninteenkilo30hotel!

I had what felt like menstral cramps for about a week and a half. I never started my period, so I took a test and went to the doctor the next day. I was 5 weeks. I had no other symptoms.

knowing and feeling are two different things. I KNEW I was pregnant when I got the positive HPT and when I started with the morning sickness.

I FELT pregnant the morning I looked into the mirror and noticed the slight bulge in my abdomen (after weeks of avoiding mirrors that allowed me to see my belly).

I felt really tired all the time and just wanted to sleep. My boobs were tender - I did a test a couple of days later and it was positive.
