No, it does not overwhelm me.
At first, information began making the world "smaller" by bringing us together with new, shared knowldege and answers to large things that used to baffle us.
Now, the "Information Age" has multiplied the knowldege available to such enormous proportions that it may make the world seem larger than it ever did before.
This is nothing to let overwhelm you. Accept that you, nor anyone else, can ever know all there is to know, in the "information age" or otherwise.
Your capacity to "know" has not changed. It has not diminished. But now you are able to put information together that you would not have known before, and begin to make the world feel a bit smaller again.
Eventually, I think we will believe that all that information, known by you or me, or not, really has shrunk the world, not made it bigger.

Look at the world in comparison to the universe and it's very small. Look at the world 30 or so years ago when we had less communications and it would have appeared pretty big. These days we have faster transport such as planes, faster cars and communications such as cell phones and internet, just to name a few. As technology evolves then I think the world becomes smaller in a sense. Just my thoughts.

Now everybody have their own world and it all depends on the individual whether they look beyond it or how much they look for.........now if someone has this capability to make his/her horizon spread out to the never-found boundaries of this world in it's true sense, then he is upto something which is called overwhelming.
But believe me, unless that happens, the individual worlds are so small and you keep checking out the same faces over and again.

It's overwhelming and exciting at the same time.Imagine how boring it would be if we were all confined to small places! And if humans can't live peacefully now, imagine what they'd do to each other if they were short distances away from each other. It's like putting lions and zebras in the same room...can you imagine...?
