Being told that I am funny or that I make someone laugh all the time. Its almost more important to me than saying I am pretty.

I worked with a group of kids for a while; one day, my son and another boy were leaving for camp, and I hugged my son and told him 'bye. The other boy, whose mom died when he was small, asked me to hug him too; when I did, he told me "'bye Mom," too :-) It doesn't come any better than that! He's now a grown man, with three children of his own, and he calls me "mom" to this day.
