PONTIFICALPAPE: I eliminated most media from my life in 2001. I won't even listen to the radio, let alone pick up a paper or turn on the television. I never realized its damaging affects, until I extracted it from my life...

LORD Z: I disagree...
Why face your harshest critics...
When you have non-judgmental friends...

They will help lift the veil that clouds yours eyes and pierce the clay that fills your ears...

"And you shall see.
And you shall hear.
Yet you shall not deplore having known blindness, nor regret having been deaf.

For in that day you shall know the hidden purposes in all things,

And you shall bless darkness as you would bless light."

Illusion of Self comes from Within, and for clearing the illusion, we have to start from the abc from where we went wrong.

Asking ourself the question who we Are or Who I am. The Ideas , feelings ,thoughts about Our Self are fed in to our Brain from outside. and we are grown up with the same Ideas till date.

So first we need to Inquire Whether these Ideas are 'I' or they are separate from 'I'
The process of Inquiry needs to be rearnt and can be learnt
This needs specific Place ,time and regularity. To sit with close eyes, watching the Breathe, In Out In Out.
The Consistent and Persistent Effort and Intent to Know One's Self Can only answer .
No verbal theories will bring the anser.
The moment One will know the Self the Illusion About Self and The World will be Over Simlultaneously.

We read the words of someone who when asked what she thinks of makes us such a *****, (fill in the blank), and we discover that our image of our self and the world around us is just an illusion of our own construction. I recently had such an experience and looking into that mirror I began to question my relationship to everything and now I am looking at the world with no image at all and what I see is it is not better or worse with me or without me, it is just a world, and depending on where I stand in that world, I am either a *****, or something else. I know that does not sound too philosophical, but; I would like to think it speaks volumes for facing your harshest critics and learning from the experience. I may not have liked what I saw but I liked being able to see it....

After thought:

On a numinal plane of existence all perspectives seem illusions but on a phenomenal plane they are merely perspectives. Like the blind men and the elephant, our perspectives are skewed by our ability to see the facts all around us.

I felt wrong leaving this answer on a personal/ethical level and felt it deserved at least some assemblance of philosophy/metaphysics.

Oh, the answer stays the same, "face your harshest critics" and they will strip away your greatest illusions and help you to see you for who you are and what the world is like.

that's a great question. you're making an enticing factor. If all we are is in simple terms atoms and if our expertise is in simple terms an emergent belongings (trick) of a sufficiently complicated recommendations then different than for the reality that our bodies take in area we fairly do no longer exist. If our recommendations are in easy terms the end results of neurochemistry and not something greater then our life is in simple terms as inappropriate as an insect or a single celled organism. contemporary technology might have you ever suspect that each little thing which you do is with the help of reason and consequence and exterior stimulus or inner biology. no count if that's certainly actual which you're incapable of a concept or action that may no longer added on by ability of stimulus out of your ecosystem or how your molecules are configured then there particularly is not any “you.”

This is a multistep process. The first step is to learn extreme self-honesty. When we've come to accept that we are a largely insignificant entity whose existence is unknown to virtually everybody on the planet, and for which they would quickly forget about us if they did learn about us, then we can also accept that the beliefs that we hold dear are also ephemeral parasitic memes, feeding off of our willingness to spread and support them.

Second, come to grips with what you really KNOW. So much of what we think we're certain of is based on third hand knowledge and unverified presumption. Start identifying the facts that you've collected - the hardness of steel, the boiling point of water - and use those as a new point of comparison for your certainty.

Third, accept that, unlike facts, truths are never firm and permanent. We have such a bad habit of coming to conclusions about things with inadequate evidence. These conclusions harden into certainty and become an integral part of our ego. When people challenge our ideas, they challenge our very soul and we defend ourselves as if the challenger were demanding a pound of flesh. Accept that these things are not really a part of you and offer them up freely for inspection.

You have to be able to put yourself through steadily more horrifying circumstances, and by that you steadily grow stronger in what reality has come to be. Through that way, most minor illusions will be eliminated.

Major illusions that connect or disconnect us between ourselves and the world can only be resolved because of the world. If you yourself are trapped in an illusion that blocks you from the real world- that's why you have people that care for you. Everyone has a different perspective and "life" in this world, and when you are having illusions, another will surely see clearly to pull you out.

As for clearing them up ourselves....if they are truly illusions that do what it's called for, we can't resolve them ourselves. But just try and alwalys mantain a direct link between your soul and base world. That way, you will always recognize yourself, and its connections with what makes up around it

How about breaking ourselves from the illusion that is life being full of illusions? Until people are able (and willing) to fully accept reality for what it is, then they will be forever lost in their blissful ignorance or hopeless pessimism, depending on their emotional state.

Our illusion are due to ignorance
This is the age of illusion, the age of ignoramce.

Most of us dont know who we really are, where we are from
and where we are going.

We are all born in ignorance, so we learn from firs our parents, families, and later from others.

Simirlarly we have to attain knowledge, by learning from one
who is not in ignorance, from one who is not in illusion.
And by applying this knowledge graudually we will eliminate
our illusion.

It all begins with faith, faith in that someone has knowledge,
then there is association, by associating with that person
one can see practically and learn by his teachings. It is also necessary to give up unwanted influences, which only keeps one in illusion.

Simple. You read. You seek out information. You "question" everything that you think "know" as being the truth.
You might be surprised at what you will find.
