Because he's a young guy who makes music that middle aged women want to listen to.

that would be your opinion. i don't think John Mayer sucks at all. while he might not be your perfect version of a male Britney "trainwreck" Spears... it does not mean that he sucks. that would be my opinion.

He's a good guitarist but not really that great a songwriter. I don't care for his music.
