try this, right click on the task bar and select tile windows horizontally or vertically see which one you like better.

There is a third option between maximizing and minimizing a window.

Click on the Restore Down button (The one between the minimize button and the close button) Then drag and drop a side or corner of the window to resize it.

try tiling them. Right click at the status bar and click tile windows (either vertically or horizontally). This feature has been available in most all versions of windows.

Why don't you use tabular format of firefox??
you can then easily switch by using ctrl+tab key.
or if you want to use differnt windows then you can easily switch using alt+tab shortcut
