I'm a guy in my late 20s and go anywhere between 1 and 3 times a night. I don't drink a lot before bedtime either and always make sure to empty my bladder right before bed. I was a bedwetter for a long time when I was younger and was told then that I had a very small bladder for my age -- so I'm guessing I still do.
I'm sure you've heard all the standard advice about not drinking before bed, etc. If you really do have a small bladder there might not be much you can do -- everyone will still produce some urine during the night, even if you don't drink anything, and some people's bladders just aren't big enough to hold the amount their bodies produce during the night. I've read somewhere that 20-30% of healthy adults have to do this.
If it really bothers you, you could try drinking more water and other liquids in the EARLY part of the day so that you won't be as thirsty later at night, and will naturally drink less and urinate less at night. If you do drink at night, try to drink juices or sports drinks so that you'll keep a constant electrolyte balance -- plain water without any electrolyte intake will tend to "go right through" you. Definitely avoid caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks which both increase the amount of urine produced, and irritate the bladder.
Good luck -- I know how big a pain this is, but even if you can get down from going twice a night to once a night it will make a BIG difference in your quality of sleep! (And you can at least be glad that you wake up during the night when you need to go instead of sleeping through it and wetting the bed... that's a big improvement for me too!)
