Has anyone else noticed that now in the US and throughout the world.

Whoever speaks out against the government whoever and whereever they may be are not being arrested tried and incarcerated for Terrorist Activity?

The US Consititution is now more valuable as a piece of toilet paper than the inspired document it was meant to be.

You must have pulled this fantasy out of your ***, son. No such thing is true - people are protesting the government all the time and they get to go home. Get off your martyr's cross and out of your "V for Vendetta" fantasy, nobody cares.

The Constitution is only afforded to us when we do not go against the norm or the goverment.
For instance. The Constitution gives us the right to have guns. If you live in Washington DC you are not afforded that right. If you can get a permit which is a huge if once you have your gun in your house there are laws on the books that prohibit you from moving your weapon from one room to another without another permit. This is actually being fought out in the supreme court.
Free Speech. You are not allowed to say whatever you want. Look at Imus, Dog the bounty hunter and numerous other cases. They said what they wanted and there was outrage leading up to them losing their job. This leads me to believe that you are only allowed to say what others find acceptable. The problem with that though is someone will always find something that someone says unacceptable.
Seperation of Church and state. Marriage is a religious practice not a goverment practice. However the goverment controls who can get married.
Freedom of religion. We all see that while you have a right to practice any religion that you choose you do not have a right to practice the religion of your choice in public.
People need to get their heads out of the sand and relize that the freedoms that the constitution provided to us are only ours if we obey what the goverment tells us. If we choose to disobey and go against the goverment and actually stand up for our rights we are no longer free and suffer the consequences.

1. The Constitution was never meant to protect those "throughout the world." They're on their own.

2. No, I haven't noticed this trend in the U.S. I've noticed that people speak out agaisnt the govt. all the time and all they get is news coverage (comedians, actors, college students, bumper sticker makers...). I haven't noticed people getting arrested for this. Is Jon Stewart still on the air?

ACTUALLY..its not against the Constitution..
Sedition Acts were passed a LONG time ago which stated that one can be punished for "false criticisms" of the government, and thus such criticisms were found as treason.
Yes, the Sedition Acts were infact revoked, however they are reinstated during times of war.
Since we are currently in a war...you can be tried for speaking out against the governement and it is perfectly legal..however they normally wont bother you unless they truly feel threatened..

The Constitution is preventing citizens of the US from being spyed on, arrested without probable cause, and otherwise protected from government zealousness.
Unfortunatly, the Constitution will not protect you from the Clinton attack machine, and Osama Obama will really have to be on his guard after he loses the election, 'cause Hillery will make him pay for the hard time he's giving her now>

If you've never read the book 1984 by George Orwell you should read it. If it has been awhile since you've read it, read it again. Reading it almost makes you believe this Bush administration has been using it as a guide for their policies and actions.
