fighting to see who gets to rob your house?

The hard liners for either party fight so tenaciously but... it would seem the corruption in DC is rather partisan arbitrary at the moment.

You are absolutely correct. Our congressmen/women have become concerned with themselves and their personal political future. So few are truly interested in America first. It seems even those who are not after personal gain are not aggressive. It is as if we, the people, are only voters to be manipulated.
We can do something. The Internet allows us to monitor congress persons to see how they vote. We can also write -don't email, mail a letter- and ask for an explanation. If our congressmen do not vote as we would have voted and he/she will not give an acceptable explanation, they can be voted out.
It takes more than an occasional interest by each of us, it is something each of us need to do and encourage everyone else to do.
Another way is to vote out every congressman/woman who has been in office for more than 4 years. If we, the voters, were to look at that one point and vote accordingly, we could have a totally new congress in 2010. Three years and the slate is clean. Would it be better? That is an unknown. Can it be worse? Yes, but is it worth the chance?

The winner takes it all. Thus, the parties are all out in taking the White House because it is where the money is.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will control the White House commencing in 2008.

I fully, 100% totally agree. I wish somehow we could get Washington DC completely cleared of ALL the current politicians, and get some people in there who really care about our country and it's people. Not gonna happen though.

More like fighting to see who gets to put the cherry on top after leaving a pile of dooter on your face.

While some of us think it is time to make a change from the usual old career politicians who typically hold office, others are saying, "thank you, may i please have another?"

Being forced into believing that there are only two choices for President is being robbed every time.

Not even that, they just talk because they are either under the effect of methamphetamine or cocaine, maybe that's why it's call "The White House"

No you are not the only one who thinks this. What I find funny is that either side will say or do whatever they think we want them to do to get them in office. Then once they are in office it is whatever they want to do and to hell with what they said they would do or what we want them to do.

Yeah, you probably are. The right is the one that robs us, and this has been going on since Reagan, with a slight break for 8 years of a right-wing "Democrat."
