I was hired August and my contract says I still have 6 months as probationary, before I will be a regular?

My question is, if I would like to get out in the middle of this probationary period, should I still have to tell my boss, at least a month before I leave them? My contract is silent on this, but I know if you are a regular employee, you must at least inform your company a month before you resign. What if your still in the probationary period?

2 weeks notice would be nice.
