Seems a little odd 2 me. A lot of ppl these days are like that in marriage though. Either way, it's their business, and she knows what kind of man she married, good or bad. Don't meddle in it. If he is eventually going to cheat, there is nothing that you can do about it, and she will see it, one way or another. You can't help that.

Much Love.

Be very careful how you take this. If this wasn't said to you or the wife then you don't know the context. He may have been saving face.

probably not, sounds as if she was more compatible with him he would start an affair with her.
the guy sounds like a lying cheating moron. its very likely he has already cheated on her, or will do in the near future.

why cant people just be honest, when its over, its over. dont lie and cheat until caught out. that causes more heartache

I dont think harm was met by those words, although he could have spoken a bit more gently and used kinder wording so it couldnt have been mistaken.

people look as marriage as such a prude thing these days he's probably just trying to keep with the pack. sure it's alittle hurtful but i bet he doesn't mean anything by it. just trying to not look like a limp noodle.
