Some of them do and some of them don't so it really depends on what the Computer Company is offering when you buy it. Basically some are geared more for gamers and have elite video cards while others are designed for regular home use and have average video cards.
Go to Device Manager to look up the video card that you have and call a computer store that can compare it with better cards. You may be having a RAM issue as well.

8800gt is pretty solid as an entry level card. $200-300

try here for the lowdown:

It depends what you have to spend. Theres a change in the market atm because of the appearance of a couple of new cards that are _very_ high performance and comparatively much cheaper then anything thats come out recently.

The 8800gt and the (not yet released 8800gts with a new chip). radeon have a new card coming out soon thats supposed to be pretty hot.

If youve got money to spend the 8800gtx is pretty cool but have a look at some benchmarks before you buy so you can compare the relative merits of whatever card you are interested in to see what sort of bang you're getting for your buck.

Happy gaming!
