I'd rather just have a ten dollar bill. Or ten ones. Or two fives. Or five two dollar bills. Or whatever combination adds up to ten bucks.
I think cash is always a good gift, because the problem with gift cards is that sometimes I'll get cards from relatives back east...and the store they work at isn't even in my part of the country.
Or sometimes stores give you 'store credit' when you return stuff bought with a gift card. Big whoop.
The thought is nice, but when in any doubt give cash - well, write a check if you're sending it in the mail.

No, not at all! I buy gift cards all the time ( I don't have a credit card, so I buy a pre paid one for $50 or $100 and buy what I need with it. The Visa cards are the best. ) I'd be totally happy if you did that! I love shopping online. (Hm, wonder if they have dollar stores online?)

No, gift cards are the best because then I can get what I want. It's better than someone else going to the dollar store and getting me something and trying to pass it off as a department store purchase that I will have to regift the next year! :(

No way .. I love the Dollar Store. Before tax, that's 9 items that I'd like to have, and don't have to pay for. In fact, the staff at our local Dollar Store say I'm their best customer!! :)

No, I would be glad that you don't want any jewelry. The only time and last time I got something like that for an ex I ended up never getting it back after she dumped me. So, I prefer a woman who doesn't want any jewelry but if she does I would think on it.

I would reply my precious and hold it close. a gift is important no matter the price as long as you show the person you were thinking of them. I like to make gifts sometimes, since it shows creativity, shows the person how you put thought and effort into thinking of a gift and it is very original.

Are you kidding I'd be greatful for anything especially the dollar stores. I find it entertaining. Why spend more than you have to for the non essential necessities.
