I bought my mom the DVD collection of the best hits from the Little Rascals TV Show. I know she watched them all the time growing up and soooo misses them since Bill Cosby refuses to syndicate or re-release the series. So, now she can have them back! I'm too excited.

my mom is almost 60. we agreed about eight years ago to buy only consumable gifts. my parents had so many knick knacks that empty flat surface space was a hot commodity. so as they decluttered, we (siblings) made a pact not to sabotage them.

the consumables can be lots of fun and very spoiling. lotions, bath beads, and other pampering products. chocolates, teas, coffees, candies. even clothing can be consumable, but make sure that it is something that she will wear.

also, my mother hates to buy anything for herself. so if i hear her say that she would like something, even if it is not "gift" quality, i still might pick it up.

Since my mother passed away over a quarter century ago .. once again this year, I will be DONATING a sum of money (in HER memory) to various charities during the Holiday Season. That is how I remember my mother -- generous to a fault!

I take her to beverages and More and let her get a bottle of her favorite liquor.

Last year, she got a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and enjoyed it all year long.

I think this year, it's going to be Johnny walker Black
