Well, if you are lonely, then find some new friends. Go out and do something you like, you can find friends that way who enjoy doing what you like.
You can try Craigslist for your local area for different things like book clubs and new buddies to go to the movies with or play volleyball with, etc.
You could also play some Yahoo games and chat with people you play with. I like to play chess on the net. It's fun. If you like some people here in Y!A land, then invite them to chat on an instant messenger service too. That could be a blast.
Finally, don't forget, we all have the same problem from time to time. Me too. I have 2 great dogs here to keep me company which helps a great deal. But still, I like my friends on Y!A and in real life. Good luck to you, my friend. :-)

Go get a walkman with some good music; and take a walk; look at the birds; while listening to a great cd; and then read a good book.

My dear...i'm actually having the same problem too...What i do is i get more actively involved in Y!A. It has amazingly kept me happier and more occupied. I made more friends here who actually have the same interest as i do. I talk to them, we share problems and experiences. As boring as this might sound, this might also help you. You can always talk to me too. ;-)

Well, you could try another category like Religion & Spirituality. Unfortunately they are pretty intense in there, BUT it might give you the conversational stimultation you crave.

Kumara, get in bed have a chocolate ice cream cone, find some thing fun on tv, and just relax! and sleep! just remember lots of people who feel like you (like me ) are in the same boat!

This I know may be out of your nature but you must go around all the avatars who annoy you and provoke them more they all need a poke sometimes it gets them all hot and they love it! Enjoy.
