I was watching Declassified , a show on the History channel which declassifies government documents and explains them , this particular show was on John Lennon . Now I might be a skeptic but watching the show they state about 56 reason why the government wanted the man dead and even went so far as to try and have him arrested for appearing nude on an album !

However at the end of the show , after they convince you it was the Government they spin it and say out came Mark David Chapman , out of the blue { mind you } and even thought the FBI was following the man , he got killed . A lone gunman , just a coincidence . Well it's not a coincidence to me and it seems anybody the FBI follows - dies . Martin Luther King , Malcolm X and a host of others .'

Question - Anyone believe the government killed him or at least had a hand in it ?

John Lennon put it best in his song : Imagine!
A world without Borders
A World without Hate
A World without Kings to die for.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Best Regards.

The government hated John, for obvious reasons, and on several occasions, attempted to deport him for his political stand. Which brings up the question, "Did the government hire Chapman to assassinate John Lennon"? It is very possible. But then you ask yourself, "If the government hired this man to kill Lennon, then why is he in prison"? To cover him up, make it look like the government had nothing to do with it. I can see them pulling something like that.

The way it happened was pretty ridiculous, too. Chapman was loitering around John's apartment, and not one person suspected anything. Unbelievable. In some regards, you can thank amateur photographer Paul Goresh for John's death, as he made oral contact with Chapman on several occasions, Chapman continually asking him about Lennon. Any sensible person would realize, "Hey, this guy could be a real threat to John Lennon". Obviously that was not the case, due to people's stupidity, especially Paul's, as he was the only person who made oral contact with the piece of trash.

Well .. YES, Chapman was Merely The "Trigger Man" or "The Shooter" for The REAL Rulers, Bush etc. just Puppets, for the Grand Plan. (**see Link Below) Lennon was MURDERED, mainly because The Whole World was into His "Visions" expressed in His CLASSIC Works, such as IMAGINE, Remember, "The Whole World Would Be at PEACE and Live as One. And Any Humanitarian on This Planet was Singin' "Give Peace a Chance" which OBVIOUSLY is UnAcceptable to The Corporate, Industrial, Military Machine, that PROFITS are From MURDER, BOMBS, DEATH and DESTRUCTION, so John was a Direct Threat to These Greedy-Mercilous-Evil-SCUMBAGS, and the Order was Given to ELIMINATE J.L. the Legend... The FACT Is. for The SAME Reasons of being a Threat to The ILLUMINATI-NWO-Types THEY Also "ELIMINATED" Robert and John Kennedy, Dr. Martin Luther King, "They" Eliminated Lee Harvey Oswald the Day He was being Led to a Court for ALL the World To Hear His Testimony. hmmm. That McVie guy (Olkahoma Bombing) was "SILENCED" what 2 day after his 1st Rigged Trial.. What happened to The Court of Appeals.?? It Took OVER 425 DAYS to even Start to THINK about Opening an Investigation into the Events of Sept. 11th. WHHHHATTT ? The Biggest Catastrophe of ALL TIME. ?? and NO INVESTIGATION. ??? HUHHHHHH ?? oh yea Let's All Thank GHOULIANI, who as a New York Prosecuter, KNOWS How Important the Safe Keeping of CRIME SCENE EVIDENCE is.. Rudi Needs To Be Charged an Conviucted, and SENTENCED, and "EXECUTED" for The Destruction of CRIME SCENE EVIDENCE.!! ** http://www.john-lennon.com/johnlennonassassinationmotive.htm http://www.rys2sense.com/anti-neocons/viewtopic.php?t=1388

No, I don't think it was a government conspiracy.

I believe had there been any real involvement by the government in the assassination of John Lennon it would have been impossible to keep it a secret, and 26 years later nobody has fessed up.

Chapman was simply a whacko. The government may not have liked John Lennon very much and there may have been some in it who would have liked him to be dead, but an assassination would have been extremely risky and would not have been worth it.

I like the History Channel, but I usually take these programs with a rather huge grain of salt.

They are interesting, but so is science fiction.

John Lennon was ONLY a singer. That's all. The government neither gave a rat's @ss nor had a reason to give a rat's @ss about him.

He was murdered by that Chapman guy. Sad, but true. The FBI followed Frank Abignale for years... not only did Frank not end up dead, after doing his time in prison, he became a nice citizen and a millionaire to boot!

Not everyone dies that the FBI follows.

Here's a good movie to watch: Conspiracy Theory, starring Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts: a comedy to normal folks, a documentary to conspiracy theorists.

No, and a lone gunman is hard to stop, usually just a face in the crowd.
And the simple coincidence is that the victims were the center of controversies, when you espouse a radical view, you tend to attract criticism, investigations and gun-toting nut cases.

Blame the American mental system. Mark David Chapmin killed John Lennon pretty much for the same reasons JOHN W. HINCKLEY, JR. shot Ronald Reagan. They both were loonies. Yet there are those in the Liberal establishment that fight for their right to walk the streets.

Far as I know Mark david Chapman didn't say he was a FBI pawn. What would have been his reward for it? Yes, the FBI was watching Lennon, no, they didn't kill him. If they were going to they would have got him at his height in popularity maybe 10 years earlier.
